Start Your Summer Party on Florida’s Best Beaches

A trip to Florida generally involves at least one of two things – a visit to Disneyland, or some serious beach time, playing in the sand and surf and working on your tan. Given that it’s surrounded by water on three sides, it’s no surprise that Florida offers some of the best beaches in the US, and because of the state’s diversity, there’s a beach for every taste.

The northern beaches and those on the western side of the state, around Clearwater or St. Augustine, tend to be more laid-back, less-populated, and as a result, more family friendly. Once the top Florida spring break spot, Daytona Beach has lost some of it’s glamour, but it’s still a great budget beach destination. West Palm, Delray, and the beaches around Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton vary, but most are quite lovely, and you can usually find a less-crowded spot to relax.

Further south, the party scene heats up. South Beach, Miami is one of the world’s best party beaches and one of the more expensive places to play in Florida. South Beach hotels tend to be sexy, posh, and pricey, though deals and discounts are often offered in off-season. Even further south, all the way to the southernmost point in the US, Key West is another great party spot, but the quirky key offers a mix of family-friendly activities along with the more-adult oriented attractions. Key West is also a more affordable option. With lots of choices for cheap hotels in Key West and plenty of low-cost attractions and affordable restaurants it offers a great party destination at a low price.
