Need Reasons to Come to Miami?

miami-nov-10Anyone planning a vacation in Miami expects the time to be filled with excellent weather, beaches, shopping, entertainment, golfing and nightlife. Along with looking for airlines tickets and , of course, choosing the best option for you, make sure to do a bit of research about the weather in Miami. November is very humid and warm, making it perfect for outdoor activities.

What to do

Regardless of when you choose to visit Miami, there are plenty of things to do. The busiest time to visit the city is during the summer, when the beaches are filled with tourists looking to soak up the sun and enjoy the water sports.

During autumn, the preferred activity in Miami is to check out the historic Art Deco district. The temperatures stay in mid 80s but cool off during the night. Since autumn means mild weather, it is also a great time to ply golf. Just remember that storms may occur until the end of November and it’s advisable to get travel insurance before you travel.

During winter, the temperatures stay around 60-70 F, making Miami a very popular spot among those living in colder climates. Needless to say, spending Christmas and New Year’s Even in Miami is quite interesting if you are used to the colder climate (and the mandatory snow).

Should you plan your visit between mid-November and early January, don’t forget to check out Santa’s Enchanted Forest, the largest Christmas Theme Park in the world. It takes place in Tropical Park and can really set the mood for the holidays.

If you are passionate about cars and speed, check out the 2009 Ford Championship Weekend in Miami. It takes place from Nov 20 to Nov 22 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Getting there

Flights to Miami are easy to find, regardless of the time of the year when you plan to travel. However, the high season starts in mid-December and the prices start to climb. It is advisable to book the flight in advance if you want to grab the lowest fares.

If you need to fly and haven’t managed to book a ticket early enough, the last minute deals are quite affordable. Do check multiple airlines and see which suites your schedule best.

Where to stay

Finding an affordable place to stay during the low season is very easy but once the high tourist season kicks in, you need to book the accommodation a bit in advance. Thankfully, cheap Miami hotel rooms are not hard to find, especially if you know where to look.

Other choices include renting a vacation home – especially if you are traveling with a group of friends – or staying in a hostel.
