Getting from Tampa to Miami
Tampa is the largest city in West Central Florida and is home to museums , an aquarium and an exciting entertainment district. On the other side of Florida State is Miami , very well know for the beaches, festivals and museums.

Tampa (airport code: TPA) to Miami by plane
Tampa International Airport (TPA) is a major airport located 11 miles from the central business district. It is hub for United Express , while Southwest has the most operating flights here. The airport handles both domestic and international flights.
Miami International Airport (MIA) is the main airport serving the South Florida area. It is located 8 miles from Downtown Miami and is hub for American Airlines and American Eagle. It is focus city for LAN Airlines.
Flights between Tampa and Miami are run by: American Airlines and Delta Connection. The flight time is 1 h. In 2012 (regardless of the month you travel), expect to pay $84 one way on both American Airlines and Delta.
Tampa to Miami by train
Amtrak offers a direct service between Tampa and Miami. There is one train departing Tampa at 12:45 p.m. daily. It arrives in Miami 5 h 20 min later and the single fare is $39. From Miami to Tampa, catch the train at 11:50 a.m. Reservations are required.
Tampa to Miami by bus
Greyhound is the only bus company which offers buses between Tampa and Miami. There are three direct buses , leaving Tampa at 7:30 a.m. , 10:45 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. The travel time is 8 h 15 min to 9 h 35 min, depending on the time of departure. The web only fare is $46.35 one way, per person. On the way back, catch the bus from Miami at 7:10 a.m., 11 a.m. or 1:50 p.m. The same fares apply for the way back.

Tampa to Miami by car
You can rent a car and drive between Tampa and Miami. There are three routes between the tow cities but one of the most scenic one is via I-75 S which crosses the Big Cypress National Preserve and a long portion of it is along the coastline. This is 279 miles and takes about 4 ½ to drive between Tampa and Miami (or the other way around).
