Book Now for Halloween in Chicago
Chicago is one of the best cities in the US in which to celebrate the Halloween holiday. For kids, there are pumpkin patches and haunted houses, much like in other cities. But the Halloween in Chicago isn’t just for kids, in fact many adults come to Chicago for Halloween simply to celebrate the holiday without the kids.
Why Chicago for Halloween? First, Chicago in October is beautiful. The heat and humidity of summer are gone, but the cold, snowy days of winter have yet to arrive. Days are warm, nights are cool, the leaves turn to vibrant shares of red, yellow and orange, and there are plenty of fun seasonal things to do, like farmer’s markets, biking along the lakefront, and enjoying the last sunny days of the season on outdoor patios or while cruising along the Chicago River. Hotels in Chicago also offer great rates during October, which is shoulder season for tourist demand. And it’s much easier to find cheap tickets to Chicago now than during summer, or during the expensive holiday season.
Chicago has a thriving bar scene – from swanky lounges, to dive bars, to college bars, to gay bars, and everything in between, and nearly all host some sort of Halloween festivities. Sip on themed cocktails, compete in a costume contest, carve pumpkins while enjoying a few beers, attend a spooky cabaret or even participate in a zombie pub crawl. In Chicago, Halloween is for kids of all ages.
