A short guide to Spring Break 2011
Spring Break 2011 is knocking on our doors. The busiest period and when everyone will be looking for a place to have fun is between March 7 and 18, although some schools take the break as early as mid-February.
The popular Spring Break destinations for this year are: Cancun, Acapulco, Panama City (Florida), Europe, Miami (Florida), Puerto Vallarta, Bahamas and Jamaica.
What does that mean? The above mentioned destinations are going to be fully booked weeks before the Spring Break so make sure to start the planning as soon as possible. Spring Break travel deals are already available on a lot of websites. Or, you can try the independent travel approach and create your own package.
What you shouldn’t forget though is to: book early and use your student discounts whenever possible. You can also save money if you head to less crowded places. Want to spend the Spring Break in Florida? Perfect! Miami and South Beach will be more expensive than Tampa, for example. Plus, if you look for Tampa travel deals , chances are you can score a hotel room for prices starting at $46 per night in a 3 star hotel.
Also, you can try something different this year. How about a road trip? Gather a couple of friends, get a tent and camping gear and instead of staying in one place, drive to different places. It’s fun and definitely a great choice for something different.
